The member portal at https://members.base48.cz is where your Base48 membership lives: approval status, fees and payments, your variable symbol and QR code, bar balance and workshop bookings. You log in with your Keycloak account. It replaces the old memberportal (m.base48.cz).
Becoming a member
- Create an account at https://sso.base48.cz (see Keycloak).
- Log in at https://members.base48.cz. The portal creates your profile and gives you a variable symbol (VS) right away.
- Your registration now waits for the council (rada), who decide at their next meeting. Until then you only see your profile. Come to the space and meet people in the meantime: registrations with no visits get dropped after a while.
- Once accepted, you get a welcome e-mail, the full menu and the
active_memberrole in Keycloak.
What's inside
- Profil: your status, level, VS, total paid, balance and a QR code for paying. You can edit your phone and an alternative contact here; name and e-mail live in Keycloak (button Spravovat v Keycloaku).
- Membership level: move up to a higher level yourself, or pay more than your level's minimum. To go down a level, ask the council.
- Finanční přehled: how the space is doing, with fees due against money received month by month, plus recent incoming payments (date, amount and VS, no names).
- Fundraising: projects with their own VS. See how much has been raised and chip in by paying to that VS.
- Autodílna: book one of the two bays in the car workshop. Bay 1 has the two-post lift. There's no hard time limit, so book what you actually need and end the booking when you're done.
- Bar / Kiosek: your RevBank balance and recent purchases, synced from the kitchen kiosk.
- Služby: the apps you can log into with your Base48 account.
The UI is in Czech. E-mails come in Czech or English, depending on the language set in your Keycloak account.
Paying
- Fees are charged on the 1st of every month: your level's amount, or the higher amount you set.
- Pay to the account shown in the portal, always with your VS. The QR code in your profile fills everything in, amount included.
- Payments are matched by VS only, so the message for the recipient doesn't matter any more (Payments format describes the old system). Standing orders are fine.
- The portal checks the bank every 2 minutes, so a payment shows up shortly after it reaches the account.
- Forgot the VS? If the message is just digits, the portal tries it as a VS. Otherwise an admin matches the payment by hand.
Debt and reminders
- A negative balance gives you the
in_debtrole in Keycloak. It goes away once your payment comes in. - After the monthly fees are charged, anyone who owes at least one month gets a reminder with a QR code. Two months or more brings a firmer warning.
- Reminders wait 3 days before they go out and are checked against your balance just before sending. Pay in the meantime and you never get one.
- Admins can also turn on reminders for bar debt above a set limit.
Tips
- Use the same username on the bar kiosk as in Keycloak, otherwise the portal can't show your bar balance.
- Had an account in the old memberportal? Log in with a Keycloak account under the same e-mail and your history (payments, VS) is linked automatically.
- Wrong payment, missing VS or anything odd: ask the council. Bugs and ideas go to GitHub issues.
Under the hood
A rewrite of the old Haskell memberportal in Go, with SQLite and server-rendered HTML. Login goes through Keycloak (OIDC), payments come from the FIO bank API, and the bar kiosk pushes its data to the portal. It runs in Docker on Base48's server. The code is public and pull requests are welcome: https://github.com/Thebys/base48-portal
