Make sure you know how to operate any machinery safely. Read the manuals in the shelf or look it up online.
If you don't know how to use a specific machine, ask the owner to give you an I instructional.
Make sure you check your wood for old nails and lodged metal before cutting not to damage the blades.
DO NOT cut metal on the saws. If you need to cut aluminium, move the saw to the metal corner. Leftover metal chips may damage someone else's workpiece.
ALWAYS use the dust extractor or shop-vac to capture as much chips as possible.
ALWAYS clean up after yourself and leave the desks usable for someone else. Mess attracts more mess.
Do not use any material that is tagged by someone's name. If a piece is not marked, you may use it freely. If you're unsure if a piece of material belongs to someone, ask around.
ALWAYS use the recommended safety gear. Use the pushstick on the table saw. Triple check that your fingers are not in the way. Use the protective glasses to prevent wood chips flying off into your eyes. Wear a respirator when sanding or cutting extensively. Your lungs will thank you. Wear earmuffs when cutting, some of the machines are quite loud.
