We have an ultrasonic cleaner for base use. <br />

The front has two knobs: temperature control on the left, and a timer on the right. <br />
<br />
The knob on the left will control the built-in heater, using which is entirely optional.<br />
<br />
The knob on the right acts as a "microwave style" timer that can be set to between a few minutes and 30 minutes.<br />
<br />
Caution: never turn either the heater nor the ultrasound on with the basin empty - '''if there's no water, it is not safe to turn on!!!'''<br />
