Keycloak is an open source single-sign-on solution deployed for base use on VPSFree premises.

The service provides a backbone for signing into vast majority of [[Services|base services]], notably the member portal.

You don't have to be a member to be able to create and hold a keycloak account, but you will not be able to become a member without having an account in keycloak. Creating an account will require you to verify your email.

To create an account in keycloak, navigate to https://sso.base48.cz and select "create account" under the login options, then fill out the form. Required fields must be filled in to proceed, the rest are optional and can be left empty. Here are the details which you can fill out:

The front has two knobs: temperature control on the left, and a timer on the right.

The knob on the left will control the built-in heater, using which is entirely optional.

The knob on the right acts as a "microwave style" timer that can be set to between a few minutes and 30 minutes.

Caution: never turn either the heater nor the ultrasound on with the basin empty - '''if there's no water, it is not safe to turn on!!!'''

in base LAN, on the [[Proxmox|proxmox cluster]], there's a LXC container with a lightweight version of netboot.xyz. The dns+dhcp has a dnsmasq config snippet to auto detect what kind of machine is trying to PXE-boot on the network and supplies it the ip address of the netboot-xyz.at.base48.cz container, and a corresponding bootfile name (pxelinux.0 for bios, etc etc for other) auto-detecting x86/arm64 and bios/legacyboot. Secure boot should in theory work, but to be safe it's best to be disabled during the installation.

It is hosted on-premises and is intended to promote member collaboration - be it a shared folder with schematics, keeping track of tasks, or collaboratively drafting markdown documentation.

Each user gets 256 gigabyte limit on their account, which can be raised if required. The service can be used for personal use too - not just for hackerspace reasons. It's reasonably secure (about as secure as trusting any other online service with your data) and much more private.

The login is performed through [[Keycloak]]. Nextcloud will attempt to redirect you automatically, if not there will be a button for logging in with Base48 Keycloak. Account creation during first login can take up to 2 minutes, and the page will hang for a bit - that's (unfortunate but) normal.

Keycloak is an open source single-sign-on solution deployed for base use on VPSFree premises. It runs dockerized environment on a debian LXC container provided by vpsfree, and only [[User:Vega|Vega]] has administration access to the underlying environment. Thebys and Vega have access to the administration webui of keycloak.

The service provides a backbone for signing into vast majority of [[Services|base services]], notably the member portal.

You don't have to be a member to be able to create and hold a keycloak account, but you will not be able to become a member without having an account in keycloak. Creating an account will require you to verify your email.

===== Creating an account =====
To create an account in keycloak, navigate to https://sso.base48.cz and select "create account" under the login options, then fill out the form. Required fields must be filled in to proceed, the rest are optional and can be left empty. Here are the details which you can fill out:
